Get A Freakin’ Dictionary!

You would not believe it. In the last few days I have found several online advertisments (of which I have lost two of the screenshots for… sorry) where there are blatant mis-spellings (sp?).

Surely I am not the only one who thinks this is outragous? Surely when you spend money on advertising you want to get clicks, right? Well, maybe it’s just me, but I wouldn’t buy something from someone that doesn’t know how to spell. In both cases pictured of course, these aren’t even forgivable spelling errors. Competition and breakthrough are not difficult words to spell. Now I know there are some of you out there saying these are not spelt incorrectly, merely typos. I think that may be worse… Who sends the ad off without proof reading it?? You wouldn’t send a newspaper to print without vigorous checking and rechecking, so why an expensive advertisment… Okay, newspapers still have the odd typo/spelling mistake, but you’re telling me an online advert takes as much to produce as a newspaper? Nope, didn’t think so…
