Your Daily Quote [9th November 2007]

It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothes. But the half-wit remains a half-wit, and the emperor remains an emperor.
Neil Gaiman

Thanks to quotationspage.com.

Well, to aid in my posting once a day challenge this month I have had to employ some devious trickery to ensure you keep coming back. And that I succeed of course. And the first of those tricks is to use Quotations Page’s QOTDs (that’s ‘quote of the day’ if you didn’t realise) to syndicate a quote or two. Obviously I will be selecting the best of the four they produce, for your pleasure, and giving my view on why that is the best. Feel free to check out their site though, it’s a great way to waste a few hours, and there are some fantastic quotes to discover. Listen to me! I sound like an advertisment for crap’s sake. Never mind. Just go look when you have a free minute.

Onwards however, why this quote? Well, because this is (and always has been for that matter) my attitude in life. The rich get richer whilst the poor get poorer and all that, is absolute truth in today’s modern society, and if you don’t embrace and surrender to that you’re not going anywhere. Plain and simple. Sorry you tree hugging, ecomentalist, anti-corporate, anti-consumerist types, you’re an endangered species. And I know many agree with me… Well let me tell you this for nothing. Those are the people going to the top. It’s going to be great!

And to finish, again, on par with my world view, is the following piece of motivational brilliance that you should live every day by…

Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.
Martin Luther King Jr.
